METHODOLOGY

How each ranking check is measured.

Realtime Ranking is built for current, one-time checks. Each result is tied to a keyword, search engine, device, country, language and optional city, so the Excel report is easy to explain and compare.

01

Configure the market

Choose the search engine, device, country, language and optional city. Each search engine and device combination is measured separately.

02

Measure current search results

Each check uses the market settings you choose. The report shows what was found during processing, so every result is tied to a clear measurement time.

03

Filter organic web results

Special search result features without a standard web URL, such as question boxes or image blocks, are ignored. Only organic web links are counted.

04

Match domains safely

The report matches your domain and its subdomains. Lookalike hosts such as example.com.evil.test are not treated as matches.

05

Write the Excel report

Every sheet contains keyword, domain, position, found URL, page title, measurement time, status and checked depth.

Up to 100 organic results

Google checks request up to 100 results. Bing top-100 checks need more retrieval steps because Bing returns fewer results per page.

Organic positions only

Ads, maps, images and other special result elements are excluded from the organic position count.

Clear status values

Missing rankings and failed checks are reported as different statuses in the Excel file.
