What “not found in top 100” really means
Avoid confusing missing rankings with failed checks, indexing problems or complete absence from search.
It is a ranking statement, not an indexing statement
“Not found in top 100” means the domain did not appear in the returned organic results for that keyword, device and market. It does not prove that the page is not indexed.
A page can be indexed but still fail to rank in the first 100 organic results for a specific query.
Depth matters
The report records checked depth because search engines can return fewer than 100 organic web results. That can happen because of special result elements, query type, market or the data returned for that search.
A checked depth of 82 should be read differently from a checked depth of 100.
Failed checks are separate
A failed or uncertain check is marked separately. It should not be interpreted as a missing ranking. This distinction keeps the report useful when a temporary retrieval issue affects only part of an order.
